As overseas importers, do you meet supplier fraud or cheating when you source products in China? Just a few days ago,a China trading company called us to ask how to deal with factory audit required by its overseas importer. After detailed explanation, we knew that they cheated their importer that they are a direct factory with 70-80 workers, but in fact, they only have 3 salesmen without any production facility. They did not know how to do when the importer required to do factory audit by designated sourcing service body. Of course,we told them to tell their importer the truth. Another case,we just met yesterday,a China factory salesman asked us to provide SMETA audit report for reference. As practice, we only provided him a blank SMETA report format instead of other factory's SMETA audit report. Finally,he told us the truth that he cheated his overseas client that his factory had passed SEDEX audit before,so his client required to provide such SMETA audit report. In fact, his factory did not receive such factory audit at all before, the audit company only agrreed to conduct such factory audit in Sep this year although they urgently applied SGS for factory audit. He thought to revise other factory's audit report and then provided it to his cilent. Maybe most of importers have undergone the similar frauds. Then, how to identify such sourcing tricks and reduce China soucring risks? In our opinions, the best way is to arrange an experienced and honest sourcing service company to conduct on-site factory audit and verify if the provided information is true or cheating, which will greatly control and reduce China sourcing risks. |
